Adsense Would Prefer A Cheeseburger, But You Should Give It Something Organic

Apparently organic food is supposed to be a more healthy choice than processed food. I guess the human body enjoys “real” food instead of “plastic” food. Personally I a prefer Big Mac, or a Sourdough Jack over a plate of vegetables and fruit. It just seems to me that processed food is more filling, and tastes better. The problem is that it does nothing for your body except make you fatter.
So even though I really like processed food it does nothing to improve my quality of life, in fact it just makes it worse. The same thing goes for traffic to an Adsense blog. Not the fact that it enjoys chicken nuggets over fruit, its that it really should be enjoying some good ole fashion organic traffic. By organic I mean the “real” traffic from search engines, not the traffic that looks and tastes good that normally comes from Web 2.0 social networking sites.
The traffic that comes to your site via social networking are generally people that are technical and web savvy. The kind of people that have trained themselves to ignore the Adsense ads on your blog. The social networking traffic looks really good for your blog stats to get traffic numbers up, if you are monetizing with adsense, the traffic will have just as much nutritional value as a Filet-o-Fish.
Although it will usually depend on the topic of your blog, but for the most part you will have a much better success and CTR for your Adsense if you focus on getting traffic naturally and organically from search engines.
Treat your blog like your body, and only give it the “good stuff” and it will be much more successful for you.

I have to say I really enjoy your headlines, mate.
What about a veggie burger? : )

lol, great website. I think this the first time I actually stopped to read your stuff, great work. I’m curious, how much do you make off adsense with that domain and theme you have?

Heh. Thought you were going to go go a different way from the headline, I was kind of expecting a “Adsense can has Cheezeburger” joke some place…
I did a cycle on this recently on my blog, about the different kinds of traffic websites get, where you’re getting them from and how you make money off of them. I also wrote up an article about it that you may find an interesting read: Traffic Classification. I don’t go as in depth in the article as I do in the blog, but it gives you an interesting overview.
