DON’T STUMBLE MY BLOG POSTS! - ["Free Ads" Contest Results...or Lack Thereof]

dirty harry stumble google adsense

Maybe it’s my own fault for not promoting as well as I could have, but the contest was a real flop. I talked to a ton of people to get some hype together, but most people said stuff like “I won’t enter your contest, but I will Stumble your post”

Thanks…so you won’t help me by entering my contest, but you are more than willing to increase my page views with useless Stumble traffic so that my Adsense CTR will go way down with all the non-clicking visitors and I then start making pennies per click again. I was polite to those who wanted to Stumble the blog, but deep down inside I was thinking about <enter something creatively mean here>

If you don’t like me or you want to make me angry, then go ahead and Stumble my blog posts. You all know how much I value my CTR, and how I have been peer pressured to “Ad the Sense” back into Living on Adsense. That’s fine I crack under peer pressure, I mean who doesn’t?

Alright, back to the contest results. I had no need to randomly choose the winners because I had had 3 valid entrants! Was it too complex to enter? Or were all you too busy Stumbling my posts?

The 3 winners are:

Fool
Ren B
myfyi

So I will be contacting the winners and you will then see a few new blogs ads appear in the sidebar. Go ahead and Stumble those guys!

  1. You don’t even know how tempted I am to Stumble this post.

  2. You know, you could Stumble-proof your site by using a plugin which displays AdSense only to search engine referred visitors. Otherwise, if people like your articles, you may get stumbled by innocent readers who didn’t see this warning.

  3. @Simonne: That would be an awesome plugin! Can you give me the name of the plugin or a link?

@MAx Miroff: As soon as I put in this plugin go ahead and Stumble until your knees are bleeding!

  4. I’ll think about it. :)

  5. Not to point out the irony here, but you have a post bi**hing about stumblers, but have a sociable plugin that essentially “asks” me to stumble it.
