In The Year 1948 George Orwell Predicts Google’s Global Domination
In high school as part of the prescribed curriculum, I read George Orwell’s classic novel “1984.” For those of you that have read this book you know that this is where the title of “Big Brother” came from. When I first read the novel I passed it off as merely another book that I had to read in order to make it through high school. As I got older I started to make comparisons between the book and what is happening in our world.

Some comparisons were really funny, some were downright scary.

The funny part that I have noticed is whole concept of “minispeak” which is now being used these days, most notably in the naming of celebrity couples. I am of course talking about couples like Bennifer, Brangelina etc. I have also noticed a few others terms and phrases of exclamation that have been combined into one word comments. Of course right now I cannot think of any examples.

Now let’s move on to the scary…

I am of course talking about Google. As you know (or should know if you are reading this blog) I have recently quit my job to earn a living from Google Adsense. I perhaps should have thought about this before I quit my job, for 2 main reasons:

- Google Adsense does not seem to be able to create a decent income to maintain the standard of living I have grown accustom to.
- Apparently Google is “evil” and may be plotting to take over the world.

I know it is weird to think that Google may be evil, but I read an article and watched a video that changed my whole perspective on Google. It’s funny though, even though it has changed my perspective on Google, it still has not changed any of my courses of action (ie. blogging for a living with Google Adsense). I think it may have just changed my perspective for today. Tomorrow brings another outlook. Watch the video below so you can see what I am talking about.

Take a moment to think about what the world would be like if every single detail in that video came true. I cannot say for certain whether the information detailed in the video is accurate or not, but if one day those events became a reality my world would be turned upside down.Was Google mentioned in the book of Revelations?

I’m paranoid as it is, but now I am even worse. What if Google is evil? What if I after quitting my “day job” I am now pseudo-employed by an evil empire. I just hope I can squeeze enough money out of Google Adsense to make it worth working for “Big Brother”
