It’s About Time I Marched Up To Google and Demanded My Page Rank Back

My Google page rank was dropped down to zero since I stared doing paid posts a while back. Even though in the past I said that I was not really concerned with my blog’s PR. Well now I am. I just feel so naked without the page rank.
So I have decided to go on a mission to get my Page Rank back. I lost my page rank because I joined PayPerPost, and even though I was able to make some good money from it. I just don’t have the time to do any paid posting. I’m sure the readers of this blog will enjoy a lack of paid posts(even though I did an awesome job of disguising them).
Today I set out, and march up to Google and demand that I have my page rank returned to me. And by demand I mean grovel, and cry if needed.
There is always talk that a high page rank is unnecessary, and whether it is true or not I want mine back. It’s like driving an Escalade: it’s a status symbol. A 1972 Volvo 145 wagon will get you to the same place as an Escalade. It’s just the Escalade looks more fancy (even though the Volvo is still cooler).
For me, step 1 will be removing all of my paid posts and anything that is related to PayPerPost. I will then wait a few days and then write an email to Google asking for my page rank back. It seems way to easy, which is why I am concerned. I am also a little worried about all of the Google Adsense bashing that has been going on my blog. Hopefully they will see it as light hearted fun.
So if anyone has any advice, or has successful crawled through the supplicant door before, please share your adventure with me below!

Google only rewards sites with an increase in page rank about once a year. You will have to wait till next spring to find out if Google has it in its heart to give you back anything. Your idea of contacting them is a bad one…rather useless because they won’t listen.
They will only give it to you if you show them you deserve it.
So…
Work your butt off making quality posts. The better your posts the more people will link to you because they like what you have to say. The better the sites that talk about you, the more traffic you will get from those sites…and you will share some of their PR Juice.
I got rank spanked too, this time around. And it wasn’t because I was doing pay-per-post or anything of the sort.
I was slapped for having the wrong TLD at the end of my domain name. Every site that has a .tk domain name was slapped. Before that I had a PR4 with tons of inbound links created by people that loved the content and the educational service I was providing to the programming community. Less than 24 hours after I put up the first page of my site, it was on the front page of Digg.
Now that same domain name is a PR1 and all the keyword phrases that it once held the top spot, I can’t even find that domain name in the results. But Google didn’t do all bad to me…
They replaced it with a link to the real location of my site…not the .tk domain name, but the folder of the site it sat on with a .com, which is also a PR1 site.
So now I am back at square 1 and having to work my butt off and earn my PR4 back again. I still have the top spot in search results, typing in “free programming ebooks” and hitting the “I’m feeling lucky” button still lands you on my site, but I feel like I am at risk of losing that if I don’t work hard to keep it and prove I deserve it.
So whatever you did to earn the PR the first time, you have till spring to do it again….Quality content! That’s how you did it. That’s how you’ll get it back.
You were right when you said you were going to have to fight…wrong about the idea of groveling, crying, or begging.
And next spring you will get an increase, you have at least me, from a PR3 blog, linking to you in both a post, and on my sidebar. I’m sharing some of my PR Juice with you.
Now you just need to get more to do the same, and fill up your cup. As long as you keep up the quality, you will make more friends in the blogging world that have some juice to share and that cup will run over.
And don’t beg for juice…just let it happen. It will. Trust me. You just need to be patient and keep working as if Google didn’t have a search engine and the only way to find your site is through word of mouth.
Busy bees get the buzz….and the sweet honey too.
i know someone who went through the same thing, i just think that google dont like that people make money with out going through them,
all the hard work people do to get there pagerank up and then google just act like babies and take it away from them just wrong if you ask me

It’s happen. don’t worry to much about PR. It will come back.
well i hope its just a glitch for you. my theory is that the page rank game is to control bloggers to the point that they never blog outside the box(that is why google adsense the link bait subject is huge for all bloggers?) then when google comes out and takes their site out of the order and the g bot stops combing the posts as much most bloggers quit, i wish google had a program that was more independent of the pr system

Well, there was another PR update and you haven’t gotten it back yet. All well, right?
So when you took the pay-per-posts off, did you have to give back any money?

@impNERD: Nah, I had been given the money, and it had been long spent prior to the dropping of the PayPerPost.
