Kevin Costner Knows CRAP About Blogging!
I’m not worried, no really I’m not!
.
Here I am at day 2 of “Living La Vida Adsense” and as I said before I am not worried.
.
The first day up my blog had 4 visitors, 23 adsense impressions, and $0 income. Like I keep telling myself… I am not worried.
.
Today I decided that I couldn’t be a success by myself. I need to suck the lifeblood out of other people; I need to learn what is going wrong here.
.
I scoured the web and finally stumbled upon a forum about blogging called Bloggeries: Tools for the Blogoshphere. Even though I hate the word blogosphere and despite the overtone of negativity and misanthropy that is prevalent throughout the web today, along with the ever increasing amount of run-ons sentences, the Bloggeries is the clichéd ‘breath of fresh air.’ In fact, the Bloggeries is like the “Cheers” of Internet forums; they’re always glad you came.
.
Well in all seriousness it is a fantastic forum because I made a few posts, and within seconds I had been greeted by many moderators and admins plus I had the answer to my problem…
.
Kevin Costner is a farking liar!

.
In the movie field of dreams I was told that “If you build, it they will come” so naturally I assumed that “If you blog it, they will come.” Yeah all 4 people. The nice people at Bloggeries informed me that I had to work on building traffic to my blog.
.
So how do I do that? Should I hire Mr T to intimidate people to visit my blog much like he did for Blizzard Entertainment in their latest World of Warcraft commercial? I don’t think so.
.
I found a list of 3 easy things I could do to increase my traffic:
.
- Add Social Posting options to my blog
- Create keyword rich posts
- Create a blogroll and exchange blog links with other bloggers of similar topics
.
Tomorrow is another day; another day that may bring in some adsense revenue. If you want to exchange blogroll links or if you have some traffic generating ideas please leave a comment. Actually just leave any old comment! Just let me know someone was here!

Free Adsense Secrets

To be honest, I don’t visit blogs who’s sole purpose is to gain income — especially when their main topics are, well, how to blog and make income from it.
Take a newspaper, for example: they write articles portraying today’s news to make money. Imagine if a newspaper wrote articles about how to make money by creating a newspaper? Who would buy into that?
“I don’t visit blogs who’s sole purpose is to gain income ”
…but you just visited this one!
Oh Mike, I think you missed the purpose and humour of my blog
You might want to expand your income sources. Adsense pays poorly. You can make a lot more money using affiliate programs. Adsense is just easier to implement. Just my 2 cents.
Good luck.
Well, you got me coming back. See, now if you’re mocking those who try to all-out-blog for the sake of making a living, then I’m all for it.
…. what I meant to say is:
See, now if you’re mocking those who try to all-out-blog for the sake of making a living, and in turn, you’re making a living because of the mocking, then I’m all for it.
Mike, good to have you back!(and glad to know you “Get” the blog now)
I’m slow — what else can I say?
Cheers!
