That looks like an SEO infested title. With the phrase “writing online articles” and “make a blog” so blatantly exposed it is obvious that I am targeting those keyword phrases. Well it is and it isn’t. Although it is good to subtly target keywords when you write posts, it is generally in poor taste to obviously target a phrase to try and SEO.

Unless it is in this case however. Why? Because it’s my blog , and I do whatever I want with it, besides, it’s Monday morning and I am too tired to be creative. No really it is because this post is an update about my SEO efforts trying to target the keyword phrases “writing online articles” and “make a blog.”

Last week I posted about how you should start writing online articles by re-writing every post you make into article and submitting it to an article site to improve the exposure to your blog. At the time I ran a little test to see how well., and quickly I could get ranked for my chosen keyword phrase. I tried to compare submitting an article to Ezinearticles, and a post written on my blog. I first wrote the post on my blog, and the I wrote the article and submitted it. That first day the blog post was indexed in Google and ranked at #17 , and of course the article still needed to be approved. When the article was finally approved it was ranked at #13. A nice little piece of link bait. All of this was last week. The blog post for the phrase is no longer ranked in the top 200 (but my blog homepage is ranked #115 for the phrase) and the article is holding strong at #13. This just shows that Google trusts Ezinearticle much more than it does my site. The point that I am made in my post about writing online articles seems to be valid. I will now turn every post that I can into an article and submit it to Ezinearticles in order to get a better ranking for my targeted keywords.

I am hoping that after this post my article will hit page 1 from all of the traffic and the subsequent link to the article from this blog.

I am also targeting the keyword phrase “make a blog” for my site. I have not really done much to target it and I am already sitting at #27 for the phrase match. Eventually I will work harder on targeting the phrase, but all I have done so far is include the phrase within most of my posts that link back to my home page, added it to the title to my page, and added the link in my footer. When I actually put forth some effort on the site SEO I hope to make it to page one for “make a blog.”
